Barry Wood

For more than 30 years Barry Wood has been entertaining audiences around the country with his sleight-of-hand magic and mind bending ESP tests. What sets Barry apart from his contemporaries, is his improvisational comedy background. Each performance is a one-of-a-kind spectacle that will make your guests feel like they aren't just watching a show, but immersed in an experience that will be talked about long after the event is over.

The 1980's
Street Performing at Baltimore's Harborplace and Alexandria's Torpedo Factory.
Barry is selected as resident performer at The Great Foodini in Rockville, MD
Becomes a member of W.I.T. (Washington Improvisational Theater)
Works as resident performer at the Inn of Magic in Wheaton, MD


The 1990's
One of the founding members of the sketch comedy troupe, "Dropping The Cow" with numerous shows in Georgetown
Private and corporate shows featuring magic and mindreading effects.
Resident performer at Magicopolis, a magic theater located in Santa Monica, CA
1997- present- Barry performs regularly as clown doctor" Doctor Monocle" with the acclaimed Big Apple Circus Clown Care Program at Children's National Medical Center in Washington, D.C.

2000- present
Back in the Washington, D.C. area performing at private and corporate events.
Was selected along with a handful of other magicians to perform at the 2005 Presidential Inaugural Ball.
In 2006, Barry presented his one-man theater show, "Wonders Never Cease"
in Georgetown.
He is also a producer and regular performer of the Comedy & Mystery Society, an ongoing magic show featuring the best magicians in the area as well as guest performers from all over the country.
